Get Involved! The Next U.S. Social Forum will be what WE ALL make it!

[ORGANIZATION NAME] recently joined the United States Social Forum National Planning Committee. What does this mean for our group? Well, it means that we’re helping lead the work of building the next U.S. Social Forum, which comes at an exciting and especially critical time for many people in this country. We’re in the process of building a social forum of a “new type”— a “polycentric” social forum, which will build upon local and regional people’s movement assemblies to identify several sites of national convergence for USSF-3. So when people ask when and where is the next U.S. Social Forum, we can say it’s where and when we all help make it!

We are calling on you, our organization’s members and supporters to contribute to this movement-building work. This can happen in a number of ways: you can help organize or support people’s movement assemblies in our community, join a USSF working group, make a financial contribution or otherwise support grassroots fundraising efforts, and share the word of the USSF with friends and networks. If you know of organizations doing work that coincides with the USSF goals, encourage them to join the National Planning Committee or to become USSF Allies. It will take all of us to make another world possible, and we encourage you to help our organization play a big role in this historic effort!
