We are an initiative to develop leadership skills and raise consciousness among Asian American youth in Detroit. DAY Project engages youth through community-based projects to promote a greater understanding of Detroit and its Asian American community. "DAY Project was about making new friends, finding hidden talents, exploring the history of Asians in America and getting to know who you are." --Mai Vang, Youth Participant, Summer 2004.
