The Detroit office of the U.S. Social Forum is located inside the historic Central United Methodist Church, and alongside the Michigan Welfare Rights Organization 4th floor office. The building is located in downtown Detroit and adjacent to Detroit landmarks such as the Fox Theater, Comerica Park, and Ford Field. (Note: the sports facilities forced the removal of several low-income housing buildings and community program offices to accommodate the Detroit Tigers baseball and Detroit Lions football teams).
The space offers a large meeting area for the Detroit LOC bi-weekly meetings, and other gatherings, plus free parking (fyi: mention you're going up to the MWRO office). It also has office space for the two USSF staff Co-Coordinators, William Copeland and Maureen Taylor, and Accountant-Bookkeeper, Victor Arbulu.
We hope soon to have wifi and a few desktop computers for anyone working on the USSF. If you have hardware to donate, please contact LouNovak or Sylvia Orduno on the Detroit LOC Technology Committee.

Note: During baseball and football seasons, the church sells its parking spots to sports fans. Free parking is unavailable during game times.
