USSF Outreach Working Group Call - October 28, 2009
Roll Call: Ahmina Maxey - EMEAC Tammy Bang Luu - LCSC Brigid Flaherty - Pushback Network B. Loewe Cindy- GGJ Fran - JwJ Mallory- May First/People Link
agenda: 1. Consulta 2. tech/access to database 3. Design
Tech: Database question: ICT proposal is that 1 working group member has access to database. What is Outreach response?
Ahmina & B already have access. Tammy wants to have access. One person policy is too limited.
Suggestion: Instead of limited #, create a protocol for users to abide to. But either way, Outreach needs multiple access.
Our desire is to grab info and update collectively We need a database where we can all update the follow-up results of our outreaching.
Training Tues Nov 3rd on the CiviCRM at 7:30am pst//8:30am mst//9:30 am cst//10:30am est. Brigid will email the call in information. Tammy will call Jaime to clear up the question of 1 person per working group who will have access to the database.

design For the design, we mentioned the need to include the 877-515-USSF, can go right under the website.Suggestion: to take out the two periods between the US.
if no big deal to take the dots out of both U.S. in the slogan and tag line and replace with US to signify another "US" is necessary, go for it, but if it would be a big deal, we're okay with how it is.
Consulta reaching out to social movements: local, region, natl use existing networks 1. send out through USSF listserv 2. send out to intl compas
Is the consulta in Spanish?
3. targeted outreach to poorly represented sectors/regions

B & Tammy will meet to identify orgs in under-represented regions (esp. Plains, Northwest & MdW) - by Monday, November 2, 2010
Can Program people in Consulta committee focus on moving the NPC so that outreach can focus outside? maybe, but someone from outreach needs to bottomline it: Cindy will do it.
Need a meeting of the consulta subcommittee (program + culture, ICT, outreach + pma) Who is responsible for drafting and sending the email? How do we coordinate with other groups intending on sending emails? translation of material?
Biggest question that's unanswered: who is in charge of running the consulta? Cindy and B will follow up with Program sub-committee and make the assessment if we need to have a outreach working group call next week.
Next regularly scheduled call: Wednesday, November 11 at 4pm EST/1pm PST.
