Any questions?

Reg and Bill are working with labor committee attempting to get labor to USSF. Uniquely situatied in detroit, where there used to be a lot of film and video production because of auto industry. How do we take advantage of this (production skills) and get folks into the forum?

Writers network includes any media folks

Reg: Scott, can you tell us a little about going on with website? Shooting for December 15th for launch and beta test on registration and workshops. wire-frame and design figured out. Will be migrating content from current space to new space. How do we make sure content gets to the right place.

Sylvia: Website subcommittee will be working on how to deal with content.

Jackie: Writer's Network. You can go to page on wiki. Coordination around using memo's and prompts that writer's network creates for content.

Question on messaging: we need a core group of people to work on messaging. Doylefrom smartmeme and others want to work on messaging and talking points. * would be helpful to have talking points and sharp messaging to help build a narrative around the USSF (messaging subcommittee)

OC: will help coordinate between working groups--committee of represenatives from each WG--meets twice a month. There will be a lot overlap in communications and outreach

Messaging subcommittee/crisis communications team that can respond quickly onsite at USSF (useful for Writers' Network)

Sylvia: what about a space for updates, quick news responses, is it our facebook page or twitter? Or are there other venues for social media?

Sign up for different media roles (mainstream, social) sign-up for roles--such as a media manager; regionally? Place a list on the wiki

Roles:

   * social media role - allison fletcher, alison park, karlos and sylvia, mark d, lots of people, can help play a role in social media sub group
   * national pitching
   * ethnic, regional and issues
   * propaganda

Regions and Issues and layers of planning for social media.

Can we use wiki page to coordinate roles and regions and issues? (YES)

Can we also be more intentional about other media: video, radio (incl podcasts)?

Bank of content?

  • there is website subcommittee - if we can get core group of folks to give feedback on content and active in drafting relaunch and redesign.

FYI: website wireframes (2nd round):
